Traffic Training Parks in Delhi

Five Traffic Training Parks

The traffic training parks have been set up in five important areas in Delhi to teach the citizens of Delhi and the guests coming here about the necessity and the benefits they get while following the traffic rules of the city. The highlights of these parks are that they use practical aids and supplements to impart knowledge about traffic rules awareness, which helps people to grasp them quickly. Lectures, literature distributions, film shows and other practical tools are used in these parks.

TT PARK: Roshanara Bagh, Delhi

  • 1. Winter timings – 8.30 in the morning to 5.30 in the evening
  • 2. Summer timings – 9.30in the morning to 12 noon; 4 to 7 in the evening
  • 3. Closed on Sundays
  • 4. Major highlight – Practical two-wheeler riding training for men and women

During 2013, this park was set up at Roshanara Bagh by HMSI (Hyundai Motorcycles and Scooter Limited). As per latest data, close to 8519 school children have visited this park and gained insights about safe two-wheeler riding.

TT PARK: Punjabi Bagh, Delhi

Major highlight – Every November, this traffic training park’s activities coincide with the world famous India International Trade Fair. A road safety exhibition with unique themes is designed by the organisers. Recently, the theme was “Share Roads with Care”. The exhibition is not only about spreading awareness, but also about engaging visitors to the fullest extent possible through various entertainment programmes like games, quizzes, painting competitions and other creative activities that were centred on the theme of awareness of traffic rules. Winners from these competitions were given away attractive prizes.

TT PARK: Bal Bhawan, BSZ Marg, New Delhi

Major Highlight – Located right inside the premises of the National Bal Bhavan, this place organises many activities for kids. All kids coming here are trained on the basis regulations on how to use the road safely and the importance of following traffic rules, while on the road.

Apart from these five traffic training parks, there are close to 9 mobile exhibition vans for featuring film shows related to road safety rules and regulations. High-quality audio and visual equipment are being organised for these film shows.
